Lobethal Primary School uses an app called Schoolstream to send out whole-school newsletters, class newsletters, excursion notes, consent forms, general updates, reminders, event information and much, much more!
Schoolstream is a free app that is available on iPhone, iPad, iPod, Android Phone, Android Tablet and Windows phone devices.
If you don’t have a mobile device, you can access the app online from your Mac or PC.
We ask all families to download Schoolstream to one of these devices, register for a free account and then connect with our school in order to be kept up to date.
You’ll receive information with a push notification – much like a text message directly to your device. Any last minute changes or reminders, we’ll be able to reach you to keep you completely informed and up-to-date.
You will also be able to submit student absences via the app.
Most notices will be sent home in hardcopy also, so make sure you check your child’s bag for these.
Newsletters will be distributed on a semi-regular basis throughout the year.
Some class teachers may also use additional mechanisms for communicating with families – diaries, apps such as “Seesaw”, class newsletters etc. They will provide you with details as and when required.
Individual contact may be made with families through phone calls or emails, therefore it is very important that your contact details are kept up to date with the school.
